Kansas Wesleyan Volleyball has two earn AVCA All-Region honors

Kansas Wesleyan's Kelsey Plummer and Valerie Most have received All-Region honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association, named to the All-Region teams in the West Central Region.

Plummer was named to the All-Region first team, while Most received honorable mention honors.

Plummer was named to the All-KCAC first team earlier this month. She was phenomenal for the Coyotes in 2017, averaging 2.46 kills per set from the middle hitter position with a .299 hitting percentage, which ranked second in the KCAC. She was also stellar in blocking for the Coyotes, leading the team and the KCAC averaging 1.47 blocks per set with 195 total blocks. She set new school records for single season total blocks with 195 and single season assisted blocks with 167. She ranks No. 2 in the NAIA in total blocks and No. 3 in the NAIA in blocks per set and No. 47 in the NAIA in hitting percentage.

Most was also an All-KCAC first team selection this season. She led the Coyotes with 453 kills on the season, averaging 3.43 per set. She had a .227 hitting percentage during the season and averaged a team best 3.75 points per set. She ranked fifth in the KCAC in kills per set, fourth in total kills and seventh in hitting percentage. Her 453 kills this season ranks fifth all-time for the Coyotes and kills per set average is seventh best all-time for the Coyotes. She ranks No. 23 in the NAIA in total kills and No. 48 in kills per set average.

The Coyotes finished the 2017 campaign with a 26-10 overall record and were KCAC Co-Champions with a 19-3 record in conference play. The Coyotes reached the KCAC Tournament semifinals against Ottawa.
