Megan Kline Competed with KWU Debate & Forensics in Oklahoma

On the weekend of Sept. 29 -Oct. 1, Megan Kline, of El Dorado, KS, traveled with the Kansas Wesleyan Debate and Forensic Team to Southeast Oklahoma State University, Durant, OK, to compete with 21 other colleges and universities. Nationally ranked Texas University of Austin, TX, was the big winner in the forensics division winning first place in team sweepstakes both days. In debate, Camron University placed first in team sweepstakes on the first day, but KWU came back the second day to win the debate team sweepstakes.

Kline placed first in Impromptu Speaking, third in Persuasive Speaking, and sixth in Extemporaneous Speaking. She was second on the second day of competition in the Pentathlon which is the result of competing in five events. Kline and her partner, Dakota Yates, placed eighth in Parliamentary Debate.
