Thomas Forrester Performs in KWU String Orchestra and Honors String Quartet Mini-Tour of Salina, KS on Oct. 22-23, 2015

Thomas Forrester of Salina , KS participated in a local Salina mini-tour by the Kansas Wesleyan String Orchestra and Honors String Quartet, both under the direction of Dr. Jesse Henkensiefken, director of Orchestras, on Thursday-Friday, Oct. 22-23, 2015.

On Thursday, both groups performed twice; at 1 p.m. at the Salina Senior Center, 245 N. 9th Street, and then at 7 p.m. at Presbyterian Manor, 2601 E Crawford Street.

On Friday, the two groups performed at 1 p.m. at Eaglecrest Retirement Community, 1501 E Magnolia Road.

"Elevations Symphony, 2nd Movement" by Mark O'Connor

The KWU Honors String Quartet performed:

"Entrance to the Queen of Sheba" by George Frideric Handel

"Exsultate Jubilate" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

"Sleeping Beauty Waltz" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
